The LIU Post Department of Philosophy is proud to offer a $1,000 award for the best undergraduate essay in political philosophy.

This award is dedicated to promoting student research into the theoretical strengths and weakness of democracy and liberalism. Either commentaries on texts or opinion-based, argumentative essays are acceptable.

Students are encouraged to submit original essays on political topics of a theoretical nature.

Essays must be between 7-15 pages. The deadline for all submissions has been extended to Friday, May 31st, and should be emailed to Dr. Shawn Welnak.
