Should there be a limit to free speech on the internet? Can we hold people accountable if they are acting anonymously?

Come join us for a film screening of Deep Web, a documentary about the online “black market”, used predominantly for the sale of illegal drugs.

In 2013, the FBI shut down the site and arrested Ross Ulbricht, the website’s founder. Ulbricht was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Discussion to be led by: Alexander Najman, professor in philosophy.

Food and Refreshments provided

Co-sponsored by Young Americans for Liberty at LIU Post & the Institute for the Study of Democracy and Liberalism.
